It will not be used in this mod however. It will be the main Sith fighter for the next era of this mod when i begin that stage. I did want to show it cause it looks really cool imho.
History
After the success of the Republic's TIE/LN Starfighter developed by Republic Sienar Systems, the still young Sith Unity contracted Raith Sienar to design a variant that would be compatible with their current hanger bays and able to be stored in a smaller profile than the TIE/LN.
He answered their call by modifying the Unity's Sith Fighter design which had been modified during the Clone Wars. This allowed for a simple and slim bed for the new systems and little adjustments to be made to the current Sith Navy's warships.
The fighter proved to perform beyond expectations thanks to the already agile Rakatan wing design. It soon came to be officially known as the Rakatan TIE Fighter or TIE/R. Unity pilots preferred the name TIE Sword.
